In-class and Small Group Support

In-class support is provided by a Learning Support Officer (LSO). Their role is primarily to assist in classroom activities, routines, and the care and management of students with additional needs. They support students by providing adjustments that allow students to access the same content as their peers and to assist teachers in the classroom.

Our LSOs are timetabled to regularly support students in class. LSOs circulate the classroom and provide support where there is a need through the guidance of the classroom teacher.

Tuition is provided across all Key Learning Areas; however literacy is the major focus in most cases. Tuition is provided individually, in small groups and in large groups as required.
