Thank you to all of the students who auditioned for the musical. We had an amazing turnout of 145 students audition! Unfortunately, due to space on the stage we were not able to take everyone. If you do not see your name on the list, please try again next year either here at the Greene School or at the Junior High! Use this experience as an opportunity for growth. Parents, if you have a question about how your child could improve I am happy to have that conversation, but I would prefer to do that directly with the students.

For those that were selected in the production, we will have our first rehearsal on January 6th, immediately followed by a parent meeting. Please check your email for updates next week! Congratulations and I can't wait to start this amazing show!

Welcome to the Seussical Audition Info Page!

We are excited that you are interested in auditioning for the Greene School Musical!

Below you will find all of the material you need in order to audition for the musical. Please read all of the steps carefully and pay attention to important dates.

1) Read the Audition Information with your parents.

2) Complete and submit the Audition Application Google Form by Monday, December 9

3) Sign up for an audition time using the Sign-Up Genius Below. Auditions are Monday, December 9th from 3:00 - 5:30 pm. Students are permitted to stay after school until their audition or they may go home and return. Students may leave after their audition.

4) Practice the audition song and lines as many times as you can.

5) Attend the auditions on Monday, December 9th.

6) A callback list will be posted Monday evening on this site and students will be emailed additional materials to prepare. Callbacks will be Thursday, December 12th from 3:00-4:30pm. Students will only be asked to come to a callback if there is a part in question. Some students will receive parts that do not receive a callback.

7) The cast list will be on posted on this site Friday, December 13th. Students can come and see me the week of December 16th to get their scripts and our first rehearsal will be Monday, January 6.

Audition Information

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the musical.

Below are the guidelines and expectations for the group.

EH Greene is producing its second annual musical. This year we will be performing the musical Seussical Kids. The performances will be on April 4th and 5th, 2025. Rehearsals are every Monday and Thursday from 3:00-4:30 pm at E.H Greene School, however some students will not be called for every rehearsal. See below for the rehearsal schedule. There is a $25 fee to participate in the musical and it is used towards, costumes, props, and the show t-shirts that all students will receive.

It is understood that by auditioning for this group, you are making a commitment to participate. It is absolutely imperative that you attend all rehearsals for the duration of the rehearsal. Upon agreeing to take part in these activities, please understand that your presence at rehearsals affects the entire show. Due to the expected large turnout we will have for auditions, we will unfortunately not be able to accept every student that auditions for the musical. Though we do not have a set number in mind of participants, please know that we will accept absolutely as many students as we can in order to have a successful production.

For auditions, students will sign-up for a designated time on the “Sign-Up Genius” located on this site. They will be in groups of 5 students and will be asked first to stand and sing the audition song as a group and then individually. Then they will read the audition script. After they audition, students are free to leave.

Do not say the lines at the beginning of the song. When you can sing it with the voices, then practice with the accompaniment only. This is what you will audition with. Script and song do not have to be memorized, but it will definitely help your chances!
