✏️Class overview: My classroom is a very busy place to learn. The classroom environment is structured by a variety of hands-on learning activities, technology, games and learning centers. In Room 2222, we are a team and treat everyone with respect. Your child/children have entered an academic focused room provided with lots of love and care. Each thoughtt and activity will meet the needs of each student in this room. I make it our priority to get them to the next level/beyond. Learning is supposed to be fun and creative. Let’s make it the best year yet!
🌺 Communication: Communication is essential. Please feel free to contact me at school through a note, by email/ Dojo, or call us at school. I welcome your thoughts and I am looking forward to working together to make second grade a successful year!
About me
I am currently going into my 19th year of teaching. I attended Drexel University for my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I also played on the Drexel Women’s Soccer team. I am married and we have 3 daughters, Aubrey 9, Harper and Ashley (identical twins) who are 6. I am very passionate about my profession and make it my goal to get my students to the next level. Together as a team (myself, students, and parent/guardian), we will have a fantastic year and work closely with one another.
😀Classroom Behavior Plan: Room 2222 will use Class Dojo. Throughout the day, if the student's behavior changes, they can gain or lose points.
📚Homework/ Information: A homework packet will be given starting in October. On the front page all updates will be provided to keep you informed of what is going on at school and in the classroom.
📁Swedesboro-Woolwich Folder: This folder will be sent home every night and returned each day. It is important that all school related notes/ messages are placed in this folder. It must be returned each and every school day.
Folders: A black folder will be used for Language Arts and Writing. A red folder will be used for Math work. Folders will contain all work that has been conducted during the current week. It will be sent home every Friday or last day of the week. This will give you time to view and practice any work that your child found difficult. Folders must be returned on the next school day.
🥕 Snack: Students will have a short break at 1:00pm and are permitted to have a snack during their break. Please provide a snack for your child. Remember our classroom is a peanut/ tree nut free room.
🎉Birthdays: Please send in your child’s favorite book and toy to share with the class.
