How should I read at home with my child?

I recommend trying dyad reading. The dyad reading method is one way of reading with your child that is research based and shown to help students grow in their reading abilities. It is also a fun way to bond with your children!

High interest / Low level books

These are books written for children in the middle grades. The writing style is designed to be easy to read for children reading at a lower level. However, these books are also engaging chapter books. Reading a book that looks and feels like those your peers are reading can help build self-esteem and confidence.
