Southwest ISD GAMMA SIGMA GIRLS & PEARLS
Advocacy: Girls will identify a cause that they are passionate about and work toward effecting social change.
Take Action: Girls will become positive agents of change in their community when they participate in service projects that benefit the world around them.
College Bound: Girls will explore opportunities to help them decide on a career path and work toward achieving a higher education.
The Gamma Sigma Girls & Pearls is a unique leadership program developed by the Girls Scouts of Southwest Texas. In partnership with local school districts, the program combines the proven outcomes of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) with a “sorority type” setting. Similar to a sorority, Gamma Sigma Girls & Pearls brings girls together through the bond of sisterhood and allows them to explore common interests in a safe space.
Unlike other extracurricular activities, Gamma Sigma Girls & Pearls does not require members to have a special talent, skill, or minimum GPA or targeting teen girls who have limited history with the Girl Scouts in their family or community. You just have to be a girl, that’s it!
Join your fellow Gamma Sigma Girls & Pearls school program and be a positive agent of change in your community. As strong female leaders within their community, Gamma Sigma Girls & Pearls stand out among the rest and it all starts with YOU!
