Kitson Ridge 

• The final project of the East Oakridge Strategy is the largest of the three PODs.

• Values at risk: Community off of the 58/Salt Creek, Wolf Mountain comms site, railroad, proximity to Army Corps reservoir and dam, HWY 58 corridor. 

• Highest burn likelihood. Should be number one priority from fuels and fire management perspective.  

• Since this land hasn’t been treated in a long time it would make the most impact; road system/access in the worst shape and would benefit the most for fire suppression access.  

• No existing fuel treatments that would be effective in aiding fire suppression. 

• Hardest POD to fight fire in. Roads are rough and overgrown. 

• Waiting to treat would allow more treatments in managed stands.
