Greetings, Mariner Families!
It has been a while since we have sent a newsletter, and we are giving this format a try.
It has been an exciting time at MVH! Last week, we had the Senior Spirit week with a Coachella theme. The week ended with the Senior Sendoff Assembly and Senior Picnic. This week we will have End of Course exams for seniors and Grad Nite at Six Flags Magic Mountain on Friday!
Congratulations to the MVH Baseball and Softball teams for their CIF playoff runs! The teams battled for a few amazing wins, but unfortunately, both teams were knocked out of the playoffs this weekend. We are proud of you!
Tuesday evening, MVH will host the AVID Awards Night, where students will be recognized and awarded scholarships. Thursday evening, MVH will host the Senior Awards night. Please check the WAAG for details and look for invitations from the counselors and Mr. Jara for these events.
Underclassmen will take their End of Course exams next week and we will be on a minimum day schedule. Please remember to take advantage of the Tutoring Center after school to make up late work and prepare for exams.
Graduation will be on Wednesday, June 3rd at 2pm at the MVH Stadium. Each senior may bring 6 guests. All guests must be present with the senior at 1pm to enter. Please watch your email for details and reminders.
This is the time of year for celebrations, awards, and reflection on our year at MVH. Underclassmen are looking forward to moving on to the next grade level after summer, and seniors are planning for their next steps in college and career. I am proud of our Mariners! They consistently represent MVH with pride and I am impressed by their achievements, their resilience, and their heart. I am grateful to spend my days with these amazing human beings. Thank you for trusting MVH to educate your children.
With Gratitude,
Teresa Kramer
