Physical Science

This science experience designed to meet the State of Ohio’s Core requirement for physical science. The course structured around the idea that students learn by doing science and following the scientific method.

• Students will learn basic chemistry, including atoms, properties of matter, atomic structure, chemical bonds, chemical reactions, acid and bases, and nuclear chemistry.

• Students will learn basic physics including energy, thermodynamics, forces, motion, and waves.

• Students will learn about the Earth’s structure and the processes that shape it including plate tectonics as well as the principles of energy, matter, motion, and forces that explain Earth systems, the solar system, and the universe.
