American Government 1342 and Financial Literacy

Students examine the founding documents, which form the basis for the United States of America and inform how the
American people govern themselves at national, state, and local levels of government. Students may participate as citizens
by addressing government issues through service learning and senior projects. Additionally, this course fulfills the
state requirement for financial literacy instruction by addressing financial responsibility and decision making, planning and
money management, being an informed consumer, investing, credit and debt, risk management and insurance.
