Calculus

Term: Year

Prerequisites: Pre-Calculus

Credit: 1

Fee: TI-83/84 family graphing calculator

Grades: 10, 11, 12 and cost of required AP exam

In this course, the material is broken down into the study of limits, derivatives, integrals and the relationship between the

derivative and the definite integral. Students will work with functions represented in a variety of ways and understand

the connections among these representations. In order to be successful, students will need to be able to persevere

when problem solving, use mathematical models, reason abstractly and quantitatively, construct viable arguments, and

synthesize information. Students who successfully complete the course and exam may receive college credit.
