The course organized into six principal areas of concentration concerning the human body: organization, support and

motion, integration and coordination, transport, absorption and excretion, and reproduction. The major topics covered:

neuromuscular, heart and circulatory, brain and special senses, respiration, digestion, homeostasis, metabolism, and

skeletal. Dissection is required. Students are required to take one additional lab-based science course for a total of 3

credits. Students planning to pursue a four-year college program following high school are strongly encouraged to include

Chemistry and Physics during their high school coursework.
