If you notice your child may be reading words accurately, but has a hard time retelling or answering comprehension questions, your child may need help with visualization strategies. It is almost like when as adults, we read and start thinking of other things, and as we get to the end of the page, we can't remember a thing we read. Sometimes this happens to students. They sound as if they are reading and understanding, but they are word calling, and not actually thinking about, or visualizing the story.
