ACADEMY VIRTUAL TOUR

If you are unable to visit us for our Open Event or tour right now, you are still fortunate enough to be able to view our wonderful modern buildings with our interactive virtual tour.

Come and see why so many students and parents are making The Eastbourne Academy their number one choice of school.

Academy Life

All students will attend six x 55 minute lessons every day, with 2 x 30 minute breaks.

Enrichment clubs are run during both breaks and after school between 3-4pm and includes a wide variety such as a sports, music, drama, performance and general interest activities.

The Academy is open from 8:00am every day and all students are encouraged to attend early for breakfast club from 8:00am to 8:25am, where they are able to have FREE toast and FREE hot drinks. We expect all students to be in school by 8:25am ready for their first lesson at 8:30am.

The Academy day finishes at 3:00pm, unless students are attending an after school activity.

At The Eastbourne Academy we operate a year group structure to ensure every child is known and challenged both academically and pastorally.

This also secures effective relationships, which will stand students in good stead during not only their five years at the school, but beyond in their lives and in the world of work.

The year group structure is underpinned by a Community system which provides an additional platform to develop student’s character.

Organised vertically, they provide opportunities to foster healthy competition and to emphasise activities such as charity fundraising, as well as providing additional routes for student leadership, such as Sports Captains, Dance Captains, Debating Captains and Anti Bullying Ambassadors, where students can all learn from each other.

Through a mutual RESPECT of each community the following skills and attributes are developed:

  • Resilience

  • Empathy

  • Self Esteem

  • Participation

  • Encouragement of others through peer to peer support

  • Creativity through risk taking and problem solving

  • Tenacity

There is a wealth of opportunity for you at The Eastbourne Academy,

both in lessons and at the after school clubs and activities.
