Art Consortium

Date: March 22nd, 2018 Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Mayco's designer Todd Hickerson will share experience and techniques, including glaze combinations, safe glaze layering, stencils, silkscreens and pinpoint flux additions. He will highlight Mayco’s wide firing range of glazes on the first day. Think of it as a Test [Glaze] Kitchen; this whirlwind, hands-on workshop will get you set on a whole new path to creativity. The second day, will focus on using Mayco’s creative tools, such as rubber mats, stamps, and stencils in clay. Bisqueware, clay, glazes, brushes and all creative tools will be provided.

EL Screener / SLDS (for ESOL)

Date: March 29th Time: 9:30AM - 11:30AM

The EL Screener application allows Georgia districts to enter English language proficiency screener scores for students in Grades K–12, and determine whether those students qualify for ESOL services. The EL Screener application was developed at the request of and in collaboration with ESOL staff in various Georgia districts to assist with the identification of students as English learners as they move from one school or district to another.

We will cover both levels: The Submitter (EL Teacher role) & Approver (District & School level roles)
