Get to know Ms. Kanemoto

Hi there, everyone!  I'm Ms. Kanemoto and I'm the Blue Team counselor at Westview Middle School. 

I received my Bachelors Degree from Baylor University and obtained my Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. Since that time, I've been employed as an adoptive family counselor, a commercial realtor, and a global recruiter, before I landed 13 years ago, in the best job ever: School Counseling. I have been at Westview for 12 of those years and honestly have to say, that working in a middle school is where my heart is happiest. 

I have a very busy life outside of school, as well. I have a daughter who attends school in SVVSD and we keep very busy with family and friends! When I'm not spending time with my kiddo, I love doing hot yoga, riding my bike, crocheting, and working in my garden. We have two dogs, Sally and Fisher, who we love spending time with (unless Fisher is being naughty LOL).
