Middle School Core Classes
We offer grade level and advanced courses in math and language arts, and our social studies and science classes are mixed skill level. This allows us to offer differentiated learning while also promoting collaboration amongst all middle school students. Middle School Explores
and Co-Curriculars
Middle school students take three Explore classes each afternoon. These classes allow students to explore passion areas and develop as well-rounded learners. Our Explore classes include some classes that have events outside the school day (band and choir) which are considered co-curricular classes. Students are more engaged and learn important time-management skills when they take part in athletics and clubs. There are a lot of opportunities for students to get involved at Lyons Middle Senior. High School Athletics and Clubs
High school athletics and clubs bring a special energy to our building! Our high school students can best prepare for college and post-secondary success by engaging in the activities that happen outside the school day. This teaches them time-management and organizational skills that help them become stronger students. Over 89% of our high school student body participates in athletics, clubs, or co-curricular activities. Check out this video to learn more about high school athletics and clubs.

Join Us for a Building Tour!
We are disappointed that we are not able to invite prospective students into our building for a tour due to the public health guidelines. There is so much that our future Lions can learn from touring the building and gaining an understanding of how our school looks and feels. However, the next best thing is a virtual tour from Dr. Smith! She grabbed her selfie-stick and set out into the building during the school day.

You can also learn more about the SVVSD Innovation Center and Career Development Center. They will also be holding their own virtual Open House events in December. Information about their Open House can be found on the SVVSD Open House website.
