Figure Models
Figure models are vital to our Fine Arts classes, which range from painting and drawing to sculpture, performance & media arts, installation, and printmaking, among others. Our roster has over 200 figure models from many different backgrounds. Our goal is to help bring out the creativity of each and every student.

In Class Guideline when utilizing Models
No smart phones or any devices capable of photography or recording may be in use or visible.
An instructor must be present in the classroom while the model is posing. Otherwise, the model will not pose.
For nude poses, no individual not directly engaged in classroom activities (tour groups, maintenance vendors, staff, etc.) may be present without the model's consent. Otherwise, the model will pose clothed.
For nude poses, blinds must be drawn, windows blocked and doors closed. Otherwise, the model will pose clothed.
Classroom temperatures should remain at comfortable levels. Otherwise, the model will pose clothed. If you are experiencing issues with heating or cooling, call Facilities.
Models are not obligated to provide reference photos. If you need reference photos, please contact the Registry to obtain model's consent.
Studio classrooms are equipped with model stands provided by Facilities. Desks, chairs, furniture, etc. are prohibited from use as stands.
If no stand is available, models will pose on a floor area. If you are in a classroom without a stand but would like one, contact Facilities to discuss options.
Models are not permitted to set up classrooms. Call Facilities if you need assistance.
BREAKS
Models will alternate 20 minutes of posing with five minutes of rest. Poses longer than 20 minutes require prior consent.
Models must be given an additional 10- to 15-minute break for every three hours of posing.
For six-hour classes, we recommend models be given an additional break aligning with the class break.
