Joy Sterrantino is an Associate Professor of English at Southern Utah University, where she was a first-generation college student who received her BA in English Literature (and an additional focus on Education) with minors in theatre and music. She received her MA in English at The University of Texas at Arlington with emphases in early modern literature (mostly focusing on Shakespeare's works), utopian literature, and composition. Her current academic work focuses on the use of video games in higher education.

She teaches English 1010 and 2010 with occasional literature classes thrown in.  The themes of the current 2010 classes are "Writing About Video Games" and "Writing About The Arts."

She's part of CAST and SUU Pride Alliance.
