Ms. Nelson

Ms. Nelson is excited to be a part of the dynamic faculty at Cherokee. Her goal is to create a child-centered environment; using skills in differentiation to meet the individual needs of each child. She is certified in both Elementary Education and Special Education, with an additional endorsement in Reading. She achieved her National Board Teaching Certificate in the area of Literacy: Reading and Language Arts for Early and Middle Childhood. She attained a B.S. in both elementary and special education from Fitchburg State College, Massachusetts and her M.Ed. in special education from the University of Utah.
