Mrs. Okun

Mrs. Okun has been an educator and counselor in SUSD since 1996. She has been a Guidance Counselor in both the middle and high school level. She loves working in the Counseling Department at Desert Mountain and is very excited to be here to support your educational needs. In addition to Counseling, she has taught Special Education, Gifted, Middle School Reading/LA, and First and Second Grade. Mrs. Okun's education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in both Special Education/Gifted and Regular Education from Arizona State University, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Guidance Counseling from The University of Phoenix. She also has an Endorsement in English Language Learners. Mrs. Okun is the Robotics Teacher and Coach for our Robotics class and Robotics Team here at Desert Mountain High School. She is our DMHS Ambassador Coordinator and Robotics honors Society Advisor.
