What can the Arts do for me?

Arts Offerings

Honors Credit

Earn weighted, Honors Credit toward your Grade Point Average (GPA) for every semester of an Arts class at the Proficient or Advanced level!  

Students can earn up to seven (7) honors credits in Visual Art and up to eight (8) honors credits in Band or Chorus!

In order to be place in Proficient or Advanced sections students must have 180 hours of instruction in the content area and meet specific academic requirements.  See your teacher for details.

Complete Your Graduation Pathway

During high school each student must complete a Graduation Pathway requirement.   One way to easily complete the Graduation Pathway requirement is to take four semesters of Art, Band, or Chorus!

Recognition Opportunities

The ESHS Arts Department offers numerous advancement opportunities.  These opportunities allow students to earn recognitions that may be added to their Academic Resume and used on college applications.

Where Can I Go from Here?

There are many ways you can continue enjoying the Arts after high school!  You do not have to make it a career to enjoy it!
