A Fundraiser for Rainbow Park Ball Field

updated: 7/3/18 - I am currently entering my Senior year at Oshkosh North High School. I grew up playing softball in Oshkosh through Oshkosh Fast Club and have probably played games on every ballfield in the city. I know firsthand the difficulty our parents and coaches face in finding practice fields and scheduling game times is always a chore due to the lack of quality fields in town.

As a sophomore I was honored by Gatorade as the Wisconsin Softball Player of the Year, and along with the award I was given a $1000 grant that I chose to pay forward to the future of youth sports in Oshkosh. In honor of all my dreams that were originated on these ball fields, I knew at the time I wanted to use this award to inspire future generations to always dream big. I began my campaign in the beginning of my Junior high school season to raise additional funds for the Oshkosh Fast Club Community Improvement Fund at the Oshkosh Area Foundation. These funds will be used with the City of Oshkosh to renovate the Rainbow Park Ballfield into a first class softball diamond that can be used to unite all of the high schools, youth clubs for both softball and baseball, and neighborhood children to freely play on.

Last month I was honored again as a two time winner of the Gatorade Softball Player of the Year for Wisconsin and was able to give another $1000 grant into the Fund. With the success of the stadium campaign, through generous private donations, the City of Oshkosh Parks Department and other donations through the foundation we are currently at over $44,000 towards our goal of $75,000. Our goal is to raise the remaining funds in order to break ground in August so the field will be ready for the next spring season. I feel incredibly blessed to be the first Wisconsin Softball Gatorade Winner from Oshkosh but I want to make sure I am not the last. Please help me build this field for future winners.

Campaign

I am raising pledges for additional funds to complete the Ball Field renovation project. I would appreciate if you would please consider pledging a flat amount for my fundraiser. Please let me know if your company does matching funds. All funds will be deposited into the Oshkosh Fast Club Fund at the Oshkosh Foundation. It starts with a dream, but only can be made possible with your support.
