Spanish I

Grade(s): 9-12

This is an introductory level course open to all students in which they are acquainted with Spanish speaking cultures in the world: daily life, history, and geography. Listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, which use the three modes of communications (interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational), will be introduced. Conversational skills are presented to facilitate pronunciation and aural-comprehension.

Spanish II

Grade(s): 10-12

Students review and practice the Spanish I skills in addition to mastering more complex structures and expanded vocabulary, which use the three modes of communications (interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational), will be introduced. Students continue to explore daily lives and cultural experiences of the Spanish-speaking people.

Spanish III, IV

Grade(s): 11, 12

This course will continue the study of Spanish culture in the world. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, which use the three modes of communications (interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational), will be comprehensively reviewed and new structures will be developed to the appropriate level and skills. This course is an upper-level language course in which students will study more advanced grammatical structures.
