Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) brought together CMOs focused on a particular focus area to link theory to practice. Each month, PLCs provided a space for members to collaborate and problem solve as a community. Resources no longer updated or maintained as of Friday, August 04, 2023.

Co-Teaching Community

Led by Meg Lembo (Blue Engine) and Gio Santimauro (Marshall Street) and Marco Castaneda (Marshall Street)

The Co-Teaching cohort tackled problems of practice such as co-planning, co-coaching, lesson design and delivery (e.g. differentiation, Universal Design for learning).

Differentiation in Literacy Community

Led by Genevieve Thomas (Spark Education Consulting) and Tim Burke (Marshall Street)

The Literacy cohort brought together CMO participants who were tackling literacy challenges at multiple tiers of instruction.  The science of reading and teaching reading to adolescents were areas of focus along with how to support teachers in their classrooms.

MTSS Community

Led by Amy McCart (SWiFT) Laura Miltenberger (SWiFT) and Tova Davis (SWiFT) and Paula Espinoza (Marshall Street)

The MTSS cohort grappled with problems and solutions around the structures of a Multi-Tiered System of Support. This included MTSS foundations, as well as instructional practices (e.g. differentiation, UDL, SDI) at the various tiers.
