Physics is a fundamental and fascinating field that underlies all of existence. In a way, it is its own language- a language that anyone can learn and enjoy, with the right tools and experiences. Modern research indicates that this language is best learned when student experiences are the focus of the class. In this way, I am a teacher, but I prefer to view my role as a conduit of learning for my students. I am a staunch practitioner of the Investigative Science Learning Environment methodology, a research-backed physics education methodology focused on student inquiry.Â
