Welcome to SWSB Computer Class!

St. Walter-Benedict School is committed to using technology in the classrooms. Each classroom is equipped with computers and chromebooks for teacher and student use allowing all grade levels to have computer access. The school is connected to the Internet by high-speed data connection.

Students from grades Kn through 8 have computer class at least 4 times per week while Pre-K uses iPads/computer twice a week for 15 minutes in their classroom. The students learn basic computer skills and various software applications including Google Workplace applications to help them complete the classroom assignments. Each grade level practices keyboarding skills using typingclub and other online resources which are aligned with the common core standards and also learn basic computer programming skills by coding. From third grade onwards students will be using Google classroom tools for communication and collaboration.

No matter what grade level your child is at St. Walter-Benedict School they are always continuing to build upon their computer proficiency skills and use technology to enhance their knowledge and development. We take special interest in training our students to become responsible and respectful digital citizens.

Note: All Students are expected to bring a headphone in a Ziploc bag and students from 3-8 need a notebook/folder and a pen/pencil also.
