About Me

My name is DJ Oravec and this is my 3rd year at SVDP. I graduated from the University of Akron in 2011 with my Bachelor's degree in middle school education for math and science. I bounced around the summit country area from school to school with part-time positions until being blessed with this position at SVDP.

I have two kids, Kyler and Alayna who are 2 and new. Kyler is growing up so fast and is starting his first year of day care this year. He has his mommy's looks (which is a good thing) and his daddy's brain. Alayna was born just after school let out this previous year, she is practically my twin and we have not yet discovered who's personality traits she will exhibit.

I love teaching science and technology. I have always been into technology and I am very excited to teach it for the second year this coming year. I am self-taught in many of the techy things that I know, but I am a researcher and enjoy reading about technology things.
