Mrs. Kellie Hare

This is my 2^nd year at Booker T. Washington. I have LOVED my move to this amazing school full of great kids and parents. I graduated from Midwestern State University in December of 2002. I started my teaching career at City View Elementary teaching 2nd grade. However, the majority of my career has been in 5th & 6th grade Math & Science. I was at Fain Elementary from 2005-2017. WFISD will be using google classroom with chrome books again this year. I am Google 1 Certified and will soon be working Google 2 certification. Our school is also working towards being certified as a Morzano High Reliability School. I am on the Morzano Leadership Team.

On a personal note:

I love to learn anything new. I enjoy education because things switch up often so there is always something new going on. I have had many opportunities over the last few year to work with teachers from other schools and districts and even different grades. This helps me prepare our students for the next level of education. As a young person I never saw myself as a teacher. However, I have always had a passion for kids and enjoy math/science so teaching seems to be a good fit. My family is also very important to me. I am happily married to Lonnie. He works at Cryovac in Iowa Park. He volunteers as assistant chief of the Lakeside City Fire Department and is the scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 1. We have 3 children. Izzy (25), Kristen (23), & Casey (17). Both of my daughters graduated from Rider High School. Izzy went to MSU and Kristen graduated from OSU in December! I am very blessed that my youngest, Casey, attends Wichita Falls High School. He will also complete his Scout Eagle Rank in September and is in the WFHS Big Red marching band. So our family stays busy! I also love the outdoors, arts & crafts, and animals. My family has lots of fish, a turtle, 2 dogs, and a cat. I love to laugh and always try to find the positives. I am looking forward to this year and getting to know each of you. Let's make your last year of elementary the best one yet!

MOST EXCITING NEWS: I will be a Gigi in December. My oldest Izzy is due at Christmas break!
