NAHS

WFHS NAHS Annual Student Art Exhibition:  TBD  WFHS Cafeteria

Motto:

We here at the NAHS inspire, recognize and celebrate students off all skill levels who show an interest in producing and introducing art into their communities.

Mission:

We at the NAHS want to bring recognition to our school’s art program and highlight the value of art to our curriculum.

Club Activities:

This year the NAHS is contemplating the idea of having more ‘club like’ activities. These include but are not limited to work shops led by members who focus on one type of medium, and seasonal activities such as a Halloween work shop where we paint a Halloween themed painting such as a ghost while wearing Halloween costumes and enjoying Halloween themed refreshments. We are also brining back some activities that we do every year. We like to try to do one community service project, such as refreshing murals, and one school project such as teens make a difference. At the end of every year we put on an art show of some of the work that we have completed over the year.

Club requirements:

Club dues are $7 However, we will still have a few meetings before dues are owed. This would be an excellent opportunity to get a preview of what we do here at the NAHS and decide if you would like to be a long-term member. We also require that you participate in one service activity.

Meetings:

A meeting schedule has not been determined yet but meetings are typically held after school at 3:30 or 4:00. This year we are going to have a virtual meeting option for those who can’t attend. We also are toying with the idea of recording our meetings and posting them on Google Classroom for those who have doctors’ appointments, team practices, etc.
