So, 700 pages since the last one. What have we learned? Basically nothing. By that, I mean we as a society are still doing the same things that we did all those months ago. We still obsess over the same icons. We may not be in the exact same geopolitical situation as before, but for a majority of the world, it seems a lot alike. But I am not here to comment on real life, no, I'm here to remind you of what has happened in the last 700 pages. That is what I'll do.
Since last recap, I have successfully moved over to a different computer with most, if not all of the images that I used on the first computer still accessible. This a good thing, because last recap I was using a loaner computer and I had to guess about sprites rather than use the originals. I also want to add that this is almost equidistant from the 1st recap to the 2nd one, but there have been way more pages. last recap, there had only been about 225~ish pages between the two recaps, but here, there have been 700 since the last recap, so that's a huge plus.
Ok, the story. Since we last left off the very interesting character of Suki has been revealed. She actually started off right after recap 2, so there was no leeway here. Suki is very interesting because she is an arbiter of chaos. She is unlike any of the other main characters because the rest of them were goody-two-shoes, but she is very evil (in comparison). She threatens suicide all the time, she burns things a lot, she abuses her butler, she tries to convince her friend that she hates their cousin, and a lot more. But yet, with all the bad she does, she somehow has a lot of heart. She lost her parents when she was very young, and she longs for them, deeply. Suki, if it wasn't obvious, plays off the trope of a foster child, not liking their new parents, and causing chaos. However, where the foster child usually goes off to mellow out because they find love in their new parents, Suki agitates as she grows into her new situation.
Suki grew up in a forest with her grandfather, until he died, and then she lived all by herself. Later, Alphys from Undertale, you know, the lizard lady, discovers her in the forest, and then takes her with her to the top of the .00001%. Alphys is the CEO of the huge technology/entertainment/whatever company, WDG industries. There, many technologies used around the world are made. That is where the Illusory Vessel is made, and all the kids' computers, and a bunch of other stuff.
Suki wakes up on the largest of their many yachts, and then goes through the yacht to her room where she attempts to burn some clothing. Unfortunately, the sprinklers go off, so she goes to battle the butler, Mr. Business, but then he tells her that her mother wants to call her. They talk, and then the boat is sent to their giant island. While the boat is returning home, Suki puts on her hyper vr goggles and talks to her friends and some of her non-friends, then she plays Sburb. Of course, this isn't actual Sburb. This is more of a dungeon crawler with imps that you can fight and items that you can bring into the real world. One of the items that she had picked up was a really powerful knife from the zilly class. There, we learn that her fetch modus is assholekind, where she has to put cards items in and out of assholes. She then kills a few imps, then goes into a negative space where she meets Gaster. He shows her many visions of her future, and she then tells Syb "not" about that, but he respects her decision to keep it a secret.
Suki then goes off to the island and picks up an orb. She then goes to the WDG industries building and is given a tour where she shows off how to use a Transportalizer by transportalizing onto Derse. There, the Black queen takes her captive and "adopts" her into her lineage. Basically, whenever the king or queen dies, Suki will take their position. Suki also learns of the queen's hatred for frogs. Suki then returns and goes to watching Mew Mew's stream and she goes to her house. Suki explores her room and gets to her spa and then gets an atomic message. She then goes onto her computer and gets trolled by a bunch of trolls. She then makes it to her cabin, looks at a picture of her parents, and then contacts Syb.
Syb, who had just had his house struck by lightning, stands in the rain. He reads a note from his sister written on the frog plush from earlier, which says that he can use the mausoleum. He then goes to the mausoleum and starts exploring it. He sees that his family was buried in shoe boxes- a joke about how some people bury their birds. He then goes down a large set of stairs and makes his way to a large laboratory. He goes to the center where he tries to pull out his computer, but then it falls onto a transportalizer and goes onto prospit. Syb then tries to follow it, but no luck, so he goes over to a large terminal where he sees that there are meteors heading all over the world, but one of the larges ones is over his house, the largest one, that he can see, is right over Suki's house. He then tries to talk to Terzei, but she then gets the computer blown up.
Syb then goes past a recreation of his room, and then he sees a mechanism with a lot of parts. He then finagles with it and then makes a clone of Meowrage with 4 eyes which he later nicknames Erwin Hawking. You see, Erwin is the first name of Schrödinger, and Hawking of course, is Stephen Hawking, the guy who discovered that discovered that blackholes emit radiation. Syb named the cat this because of Schrödinger's cat and the cat was black, and also Toby Fox's nickname was Radiation online, and he was a dog. In addition to the Meowrage clone, Syb clones his computer, but the computer also wants a password. Of course, Syb puts QUACK in, and then a vanilla white cat is born. Syb names the cat Skittles because he thinks it's a cute name for a cat. The ramifications of that name aren't known yet.
Syb then gets bombarded by the cuteness and contacts a few people and trolls. He then follows his cats, who found a secret laboratory hidden in this other secret laboratory, where he sees a bunch of entries on the wall, much akin to the secret lab in undertale. From that information, he learns that his sister, is in fact, a clone, and that with that machine he just used, and a different machine called an ECHO CHAMBER, he was cloned several times by Bys' original. The original mission was to clone Chara and Asriel, but that failed, so then she moved onto cloning herself and cloning Syb. Syb then turns on the lights, and then Skittle transcends realities, making his way to Suki's cabin, somehow. Syb then goes over to a door while suki does her trapdoor. They both discover skeletons of people close in their lives, then Suki charters off to see the temple, while Syb goes to the underground. Syb meets the river person and sees his old spot in the underground as the bird that carries you over a disproportionately small gap. He then heads back and works on Meowrage's house.
From there, he sees all the clones of himself, then starts to play the game with Mew Mew. He does all the normal steps, but most importantly, he prototypes the frog plush from earlier. And then [S]: Syb: Enter happens. Syb finally enters the medium and we immediately leave him at that time. We saw his thredit post on Suki's thread, the one she made before she went to take a message. There, GrimAuxiliatrix tries to learn information about the game.
Begining of Act 3:
Ok, back in time, right as Syb's house gets broken, Mew Mew explores her circus. She visits several of the wagons of them fellow performers, and then she gets annoyed by the robot her father created for them named N.A.N.N-E (or something like that). The thing that annoyed her was a puppet. She then goes over to the cabin of the bear, who attacks them, but she subdues the bear. She then preforms a small ritual where she whites out, hearing Syb's voice, then she comes back, covered in blood. She takes this as a good sign, and decides to perform the ritual in the wagon full of puppets.
She heads out there and starts the ritual, right before talking to meowrage. Then, she calls out for the robot, and preforms the ritual. The same thing happens, she white-outs, and hears Meowrage and Suki's voices, then wakes up. No blood this time, only dead robots and scared ghosts. We learn that Napstablook was behind N.A.N.N-E, and that they were only trying to show Mew Mew their new body, but rogue ai yada yada. Mew Mew then agrees to prototype Napstablook when it comes time for them to play the game.
Mew Mew then starts playing the game and sees Syb's planet. Land of Frogs and Nostalgia. LOFAN for short. Before anything could be done with Syb, Bys becomes the focus for a few pages. She punches an imp, but the imp, with the powers from the frog, teleports behind her, negating the punch. The imp then jumps onto Bys' back, and the two teleport all across the incipisphere.
BQ is then the focus, and she does a bunch of weird time stuff where she hates the frog, so she goes back in time to stop the frogs from being deposited into Derse, but that causes Derse's early downfall, so she goes back in time again, and destroys Syb's dream tower and places his sphere at the prototyping tower instead.
Then Problem sleuth happens. In april 2008 until april 2009, there was a comic on mspaintadventures.com that was named Problem Sleuth. Problem Sleuth was this hardboiled detective who bears all resemblance to the PROBLEM SOLVER of my comic. The section in act 3 when the PROBLEM SOLVER, ARBITRARY DICTATOR, and the PENAL INQUIRER solve puzzles on how to escape their office was almost 100% inspired by Problem Sleuth. A lot of what I did in that month was basically ripping off Problem Sleuth, but my version was yellow instead of all white. But there were some differences, some of the puzzles were different, and their windows were time-based, rather than imaginary based. Like, in problem sleuth, his window just saw an imaginary world with a dumb guy with a dog. In this comic, his window allowed him to talk to people into the future. The exclusion of the imaginary world in favor for Dream Bubbles was also a big difference, but I didn't play with it a lot, so it didn't really matter.
Basically, PS, AD, and PI were chosen by the MOBBOSS KINGPIN to kill the regents of the two kingdoms, and so in order to test the three, several puzzles were devised, and they worked. That's what those 250~ish pages were about. Nothing important needs to be repeated besides the fact that PS has a FENESTRATED PANNEL that lets him see into the future, AD has a FENESTRATED WINDOW that lets him see into the past, and PI has a FENESTRATED DRIVE that lets him see into the present.
Ok, home stretch. PS is called by the Queen to escort Meowrage to the sleeping body of Syb. Meowrage then follows him through a few places, namely a bank where he steals a bunch of grist, and a room with a bunch of transportalizers where he picks up Syb's computer and talks to Mew Mew. From there, he gets to PS' office and then learns of how he saved Syb, then used one of the FENESTRATED STOPLIGHTS to slow him down until he was at the correct time. Meowrage then contacts Syb with his computer while sitting next to Syb's dream self, and also while Syb is on a clone of that computer and is sitting next to Meowrage's dream self's clone.
Meowrage then is taken through a bunch of prospit and then makes it to this cathedral, where he starts to pray for Syb. Now, we are finally caught up.
I'm going to lay down now.
