MM: may I ask a question?
SB: Sure.
MM: how does it feel inside sburb?
MM: I mean, is it cold, warm, gloomy?
SB: So, the place I'm in is called the Medium.
SB: And it feels nice in it.
SB: I think that it'll feel like pleasant memories when you enter.
SB: When I entered, it felt like the cool, humid air of waterfall, my home in the underground.
SB: But I think it felt different for Meowrage.
SB: He didn't tell me what it felt like for him, but I think it was the chill air of Indigo City.
SB: So, for you, it'd be whatever brings you fond memories.
MM: the smell of the farm.
SB: So, then, I suspect that it'd smell like that, and feel like that.
SB: I think this game is designed to coax you into your future.
SB: Like, it starts out with you in familiar territory, like the smell of farm or of rain, and then it ramps it up until you are ready to be your destiny.
SB: My sprite told me that I would have a big destiny to grow into, but that we'd take it slow so that I could be ready when harder things come along.
SB: I think that's what this whole game's about.
SB: We're all adolescents, growing into an unfamiliar world.
SB: But we have familiar things to latch onto, like our families, friends, school, and other things.
SB: This game is much like that.
MM: why do you think that?
SB: Our destinies in the game are much like adulthood outside the game.
SB: Do you really think that you'll be a streamer living in their father's circus for the rest of your life?
SB: No, you'll move on from home and go onto brighter things.
SB: This game's system of destiny is that.
SB: I'm pretty sure that I won't stay at my house for the entirety of the game, much like you, Meowrage, and Suki, and we'll move onto brighter things, like our own universe.
MM: does it feel good?
SB: What?
MM: knowing your future?
MM: knowing that whatever you'll do, you'll have your destiny to look at?
SB: Yes?
MM: don't you know?
SB: What?
MM: Suki.
SB: What about her?
MM: are all guys this oblivious?
MM: don't you remember her muttering in her sleep?
SB: Yeah, something about "quack" or something.
SB: What about it?
MM: she discovered a set of bones that were surrounded by that wording.
MM: quack quack quack quack.
MM: the sound of a duck.
SB: You can't be saying that I killed somebody in front of Suki while saying Quack.
SB: I think I would remember it.
MM: no, I'm not saying that.
MM: what I am saying is that I might know who wrote that message.
MM: it was a message from the future.
MM: and it was written by herself.
SB: How do you know that?
MM: I'm a ghost, I know a haunting when I see one.
MM: and she definitely is haunted.
MM: I can't see other ghosts when they are haunting, but I can sense their energies, and Suki's ghost is very similar to Suki herself.
MM: Suki is haunted by her future.
MM: I don't think mentions of destiny would sooth her.
SB: You're right.
SB: But for the rest of us, our destinies should be looked forward to by the game.
SB: Which is what I ultimately meant.
MM: I understand now.
MM: I'll go do those machine stuff.
