You go ahead and move towards the location in which everything is located. Much like the undeniable force of civilization, these machineries draw something in. It's a force that feels quite longing. These machines are quite simple, at least for world-ending devices. That's what these things do in a sense. They end the world for so many people around the world, also playing this game. What does it for them? Why would they play this game if they knew that it would lead to the end of the world? What makes them tick?
The only person you can attest to why they would play this game is yourself. And I don't mean simply that you wanted to play this game because you had friends, no I mean the exact reason, because we all knew going in that this game had something going on inside. So, what's your reason? The attraction to this game that's worldly and non-otherworldly?
Simply put, you feel that your life is an unfulfilling one. You are a very ambitious person, but you doubt anybody in this world would take a look at you and think "I want that duck to run everything, he has ideas that would work, but haven't been able to because nobody has been smart enough to do so." You're smart, but you aren't quite that dumb. You feel as though this game has a much larger meaning in the center at it, and that it would allow you to fulfill your true potential.
Anyways, you notice that the punched card is on the floor, so Mew Mew must've done that. She's probably grabbing something to break open the Cruxtruder, nice.
