544 >Syb: enter the underground

You remember when Undyne came up to you and your friends in the recess, and said, "Hey Kid!  Your mother, she uh... had a little incident.  Come with me for now."  And of course, you were blushing, not only did you have like a major crush on her, but your friends knew that too, and so their oohs carried mountains.

You remember the noise of the machine when you were entering the room.  Beep, Beep, Beep.  Bys was already there, along with the doctors and a special visit from the king.  You never learned why he was there, just that he was, and that something special was afoot with your mother.  

You remember not knowing what was going on.  I mean, you really don't remember anyone telling you anything about what was going on.  You had asked a few of the doctor/mages, but they were either too busy or spoke in their normal, hoi terms.

You remember that first night, not being able to sleep, so the king offered you some Camomile to try to tire down.  You remember falling asleep midway through the conversation you were having with him.  You last remember something about him having to ride a dragon or something, basic war stories you could hear from the books.  But this was special, because when you woke up, he offered you a place in the royal guard.

You were a kid at the time, so of course you said yes.  Thinking back to it now, he probably gave the offer out of guilt, but you didn't care, because every kid born since the last human fell down has wanted to be a part of the Royal Guard.  Your sis had other things to say about that.  She said that you couldn't do that job because you would be having to help your mother in her fragile condition.  Then you pointed out that the job could pay for medical/magical bills and aide in her final months.

The king said that your pursuit was noble and that you should be the one who guards the dreaded gap.  You were super pumped by this, until you were there in person, in which there was a 30-foot gap that you had to fly people over who wanted to get from quite waters to a different part of the waterfall area.  And that is how you got the job you had during the time of Frisk.

Anyways, you enter what seems to be the Underground.  You walk down these conveniently placed stairs.
