Thredit works very simply.
There are supthreads that you can visit. Most of them are based around a big community of other threders who find interest in that topic. Then they can post. Most of it is text-based, but some people include other files, like images and music and shit. And then other threders can upvote, downvote, or even repost your post. When a repost happens, it gets posted onto your thredboard, and the more upvotes your post receives, the more people that can view your post. Additionally, a post can be reposted with a comment that other people can see if they wish.
Other threders are visible from your homescreen. You can click on them to message them, or, you can view their posts and thredboard(s). Now, you have a duty, as a threder, to compose a thought for your homescreen, and it would be visible at the top of the page as well as at the top of your thredboard. Thoughts are just what you're thinking about currently. They are different from posts as they are lost to time unless you attach them to your thredboard.
Speaking of, your thredboard is one of the most interactive elements of threding. It is a metaphorical corkboard for you to attach your posts and thoughts to. They build a story of what you like, what you don't like, what you find interesting, and everything else about you. The older the post/repost/thought is, the lower on the board it is. However, you can move the posts around on your board to wherever horizontally it makes sense. Then, you attach the threds between the posts to build the conspiracy. You can use however many threds in as many colours as you want. Then, algorithms can view your thredbord to make guesses about future posts you'd like and then show them. It also a duty to connect the posts on the board to make a coherent story because other threders can view it and pass judgements on you.
Now, you can have multiple thredboards running simultaniously, maybe one for you and your likings, and one for somebody else who uses your account, or maybe one for what you like and one for something you don't want others to know you like. Whatever fits your fancy. You can also collaborate on a thredboard with other threders to help work on things. Say you want to work on a video game together, you can use a thredboard to divvy up the work.
Anyways, one of your urges right now is to view the new subthred t/sburb.
