You use your extendo arm to hold it in your other hand.  But you can't use it, it is not a LIGHTKIND weapon, as your Strife Specibus requires you to use.  But there is a remedy, you ask Syb for the code for an empty strife sbecibus because you know his sister probably has a bunch of random junk in that weird house.  He gets one and you choose the SOUNDKIND strife specibus out of the KIND ABSRATUS
