this. Covered in orange spelling the word Quack. You have no idea why it says Quack, just that it does. You picked this future book when you were trying to investigate one of the players, and you picked this book out because it caught your eye. You carried it with you until now, when you picked the book up again, from the past. Now, you could write Quack in the past book, but why would you do it, when it will have already been done by the time you even thought about doing it. On the other hand, you don't know the history of this book, maybe you went back in time to put it in that cat person's library. That doesn't make sense either since, you know, YOU FUCKING HATE TIME TRAVEL. So, thus far, you will refuse to mess with anything about time travel because it hurts your brain.
I mean, future books, past books. What does it even mean? It's the same book, right? So, when you read it, it shouldn't matter when you read it, or which version of the book your reading, because it should have the same words in it between versions, and NO, you aren't rereading this entire book just to compare the words in one version to the same version just slightly before. So once you have the slightest bit of meeting anybody who isn't from the past, you're giving them this past book, if it's the last thing you'll do. You've already done enough time shenanigans as it is, so any more would overfill your quota.
Now, you sit in your broken chair and pout about messing with the timeline.
