You hit the "up" arrow on the DIRECTIONL PAD. PAD as in a bachelor pad, which is a house, just like what can be seen throughout all of SBURB. You've always questioned why the image is of a HOUSE. It's not a metaphor for anything based on what you can pick up from your conversations with Terzei, at least a metaphor that has deep, rich meaning. Now, it may be in reference to how SBURB sounds like suburbs, and as we all know, suburbs have houses, but still. It's almost like, somewhere out there, some fool is writing a comic by a different tittle, something, more Home-ogenous. You bet that fool, sitting on his corner on the internent knows how clever his puns are, or how silly his references can get. You also bet that this fool has a feeling, most titular, towards your situation right now. You bet that despite all the work he puts into his craft, he knows he could be better, even though he's trying his best. A different kind of stuck-if you will.
Perhaps, it's this person's own might, will, determination, whatever you want to call it, that has put your situation into the spotlight. That maybe the house is a metaphor for the nirturing we get from outside, almost, god-like forces, like we get as children. You yourself were grown up with a belief in something more, though, you may have got this from your mother, who was pretty crazy. But that sense of greaterness, you feel it here, in this game. Terzei has yet to tell you the purpose of it, but that hasn't stopped your speculation. When Meowrage revealed that he wasn't one of the 12 classes, whatever that means, and that he was an Ace, that made you start thinking, what will your class be, and what the rest of your friends' will be. If Ace is what you think it is, you may have one heck of a complicated future to live through. What could the game need a detective for?
You ask this to yourself as you finish up the level.
