You get a little amount of joy out of pulling the page, but not enough to make you want to pull out anymore.  Also, you made sure to pull it out of the Past book, rather than the future book, just to annoy all future readers.  You also wouldn't want to write on the book itself whether or not it's past or not because, it would just transfer to the future book, and that would be contributing to your already loud migraine.
