You enter the door to the wagon that you were right in front of. You don't know whom this wagon belongs to. This is because your father's circus hasn't been in this current location for too long. It's only been here a week and a half, so you don't really know the exact layout of wagons. And I mean that in you don't know whose wagon is who. We already know that you know the "layout" of where the wagons are in relation to the circus tent and subsequently your own wagon. This is because whenever your father's circus moves from location to location, everyone's wagon is moved, and the first one to get into the position stays there, so there's a competition to see who gets there first, and who gets to be closer to the circus tent. There's a caveat to being closer to the stage, you're further away from the kitchen. Meaning, the position of your own wagon determines how fast you get food, but also how much distance you travel in order to do your job.
This wagon seems quite, gloomy. You wonder why?
