...now. Ok, so, a while back, your father was just a growing boy. Every day, he'd go to monster school, and every day, he had a several hour break in which he had nothing to do. See, the family farm had plenty of ghosts on hand who knew much better about snail raising than did Blucifer, so, instead of helping out his family's farm after school, he'd go into this excellent lousiana kitchen in the underground that had this really sassy woman working the stoves. I mean, she could make a gumbo that you would want to eat for the rest of your life. There, he would clean the pots and the pans of the chef, and he would help her out a little in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the woman died before the underground was freed, but Blucifer didn't care, he wasn't just going to let her stay dead. So, a few days after she had died, Blucifer collected her ashes, and did a spell from your book, and brought her back to life in the body of a squid. You were still young at the time, so you don't remember her original form, but she has a face you can't forget.
She then followed her necromancer into the circus world, and she stays "alive" today as your circus' chef.
