You enter your grandmother's room. As mentioned before, the room has been turned into a storage room. It mostly stores your grandmother's old things that she didn't take, but it also includes some of your dad's old things. Your dad used to be a bit overweight when he was in his first life, before he met your mom, but he has lost almost all of that weight. Since a lot of those clothing don't fit anymore, your father packed them down here just in case they may become useful later, say, he needs another oil rag, or you get big, or one of the dragons "wants" to wear some clothing,
This room used to have an old-timey telephone in it, but you took it up to your room to "conduct business". As in, you used it to receive calls for your private investigation business. You could talk up a storm with that ringer. But it seems like the imps have stripped your wall of that device and promptly put it where it belongs, the trash, or someplace more horrible. As you remember, you actually used the device back at the beginning of act 1. You got a call from that boney man with terrible puns about his missing brother. It must be obvious, but that problem is basically solved; his brother played this game and was transported to a medium. You suspect it isn't your medium, otherwise you'd hear about more than the four people in your friend group.
However, this case is special to you. You've been at the PI business for about 4 months, and you've only gotten calls about trying to get cats out of trees, or someone thought their partner was cheating, or this one guy who thought you would look at his private parts, boy was that an uncomfortable day. So, this case was very important to you because it was your first big case. You always wanted to be a detective growing up, maybe that was influenced by your mother's curious death, or your own nature as a cat, so when you decided to go into the private detective business, it felt like a dream come true. You always grew up hearing stories about great detectives, Sherlocke Holmes, Nancy Drew, Hercule Poirot, Perry Mason, Columbo, Sam Spade, Agatha Cristie, Thomas Magnum, and all the others. All of them went on these grand adventures of discovery and wit, all culminating in the epic climax where the gumshoe points at whodunnit. You always wanted to be like them, growing up, so this was your chance to such a thing.
