You put the can into your sylladex by guessing the word "can". Fortunately, there aren't any cans in your inventory at the moment, nor are there any other cans which the system could guess. If you went into a room full of different types of grains and you were to guess the word "grain" then the system wouldn't know what to pick up and you would be without the corn you wanted originally.
