With the kiss that you endured by your waking self, you gain just enough energy to send your corporeal form back in time, so that your ethereal form could combine with it to be alive again.  You have to remember, Mew Mew's already a ghost.  She doesn't have much of a body of their own aside from the vessel, which doesn't have all the body functions that you might want from a teenage body.  As I hinted at before, the private parts on that doll aren't the correct ones that Mew Mew would want, so a lot had to be altered to the body to get the desired effect.  However, the dream self didn't die at a young age, but only after an UNSPECIFIED THING THAT WON'T BE EXPLAINED YET.
