The National Honor Society (NHS) was established in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).

The Warren County High School chapter of the NHS is governed by two sets of documents: the NHS National Constitution established by the NASSP and the following link to the WCHS NHS By-Laws which have been approved by the WCHS Principal and the WCHS NHS Faculty Council.

The NHS is more than just an academic honor roll. Selection for membership is an honor and privilege, not a right. To become a member, students must have an established record of:

· excellence in academic achievement

· participation in service and leadership activities

· high personal standards of good character

Information regarding selection for membership, responsibilities of members, and overall conduct of the organization may be found in the WCHS NHS By-Laws or by contacting the WCHS NHS Advisor.
