Designing Olathe's Summer Self-Paced Sessions
Session Description:
In these self-paced learning experiences, participants will explore best practices for designing effective self-paced professional learning opportunities for educators. Learning will focus on applying principles of adult learning theory, identifying and leveraging high-quality resources, selecting and using online learning platforms, and incorporating strategies that foster meaningful engagement.
By the end of the sessions, participants will be equipped with practical tools and insights to create a purposeful, flexible, and impactful self-paced learning session available for "Day 3" of Olathe Summer Conference 2026.

October 20, 2025- Applying Adult Learning Theory to Self-Paced Learning Activities
November 10, 2025- Building Self-Paced Learning in the Nearpod Platform
December 1, 2025- Raising the Level of Engagement in Self-Paced Sessions
December 15, 2025- No Handouts Required- Sharing Resources Digitally
January 12, 2026- Refining Your Session Through Feedback

If you participate in these sessions you may earn points purposed for both relicensure and salary movement.
Each self-paced session will take about 2 hours to complete including the new learning and the application.
2 points will be added in Frontline for you for each session that you successfully complete.
