Helping Hands for Housing (H.H.H) is a website that aims to help people in their mission to find housing. We don't just want people to find housing, we want people to have affordable housing. Affordable housing is considered housing where the person's housing costs are lower than 30% of their yearly gross income. People should have a place to live and grow. We don't supply funds to the states, instead we are on a mission to support the NHTF. Read more about the NHTF below.
The National Housing Trust Fund (HTF/NHTF) is a housing resource created in 2008 by the Housing and Economic Recovery Act. The HTF provides additional resources to the states to rehabilitate and create new housing for extremely-low income families. The way the HTF provides these resources is giving grants to the nation each year. Each state must use at least 80% of its grant on rental housing, and up to 10% for home-ownership, and up to 10% for the grantee's reasonable administrative and planning costs.
Just like everything, this plan costs money. The costs of this plan include building housing for cheaper, reducing money to the workers, and the government. This then raises many cost, such as taxes and market costs. To create affordable housing, we must drive up more and more costs.
This plan will also give the government more money, because the rent, bills and more housing costs directed towards the government. This will then lower other market cost, such as food and clothing, equalizing the costs and the gains.
H.H.H Does not directly support the HTF. We want people to help support our cause
