After a horrendous season going 4 wins and 13 losses, The New England Patriots moved on with a clean slate getting rid of the 14th of the 2021 NFL Draft, Mac Jones but most importantly getting rid of 6 time super bowl coach Bill Belichick, and bringing in former linebacker Jerod Mayo. Now the past three to even four seasons the patriots have struggled on the offensive side of the ball. To try and fix their offensive struggles they bring in, Alex Van Pelt a well respected offensive coordinator in the NFL, but also drafting North Carolina superstar Drake Maye and second round wide receiver with great hands, Ja'Lynn Polk from Washington. Obviously a few rookie additions won't change a lot for this year, but what can change this year is Rhamondre Stevenson actually getting a good amount of rushes under a very west coast offense from Coach Van Pelt. On the defensive side of the ball, the Patriots have a ton of talent, in Christian Gonzalez, Keion White, Jonathan Jones and Jahlani Tavai who have all performed really well. If the Patriots can pair their new west coast offense with their amazing defense that we've seen the past few years, I think we could be a playoff team this year as crazy as it sounds.
