The Red Delicious apples are the epitome of apples but are they any good?
Apples generally are delicious, whether they be hard and crunchy or so soft and juicy it melts in your mouth. And although I’d typically prefer an orange I cannot discount the scrumminess of apples. I’m sure most everyone has at the very least tried an apple and probably enjoyed it. And I know every time that I do eat an apple of any kind I thoroughly enjoy it. With that said, there is a particular apple that can be quite the contrary, repugnant and unpleasant to the core – Red Delicious apples. If not for these disgusting things, apples all together would no doubt hold a high position in my rating of them, perhaps even a perfect score.
Red Delicious apples, contradictory to their name, are not at all delicious. A redeeming quality that can possibly be argued is its deceitful bright red shine and pleasant appearance. But don’t let that fool you. Biting into one of these apples is more miserable than stubbing your pinky toe. It feels as though you are chewing on styrofoam, they're so dry and bland. Another thing, the skin of the apple isn’t only bitterly yucky, it’s also completely undissolvable – lingering in your mouth chunks of skin, drying the hell out of it.
And as if that wasn’t bad enough, these unrightful usurpers, undeservingly are the face of apples as a whole. These untrustworthy, fraudulent apples, seductive on the exterior, are on the inside crummy and undesirable. To rid the world of one less evil, the detestable Red Delicious apples should be stomped on on sight, perhaps then they’d compensate for their villainy and serve the greater good as compost.
