Upcoming Sadie Hawkins Dance

Don’t wait girls, Make your Move!

Love is in the air, and Neuwirth is ready to party. 

February 10, 2023 is the date to save as the Sadie Hawkins Dance will be happening from 6pm-10pm. Don’t worry about having to go to a different school to party, this dance will be hosted on our very own school campus. 

For those who don’t know what a Sadie Hawkins is, this dance is an opportunity to go against the cultural norms of the guys asking the girls to a dance. The rule of Sadie Hawkins traditionally is that the girls are the ones asking the guys out to the dance. For anyone planning to ask someone to the dance, you’re more than welcome to ask, don’t let the history behind what a Sadie Hawkins is stop you from making your move as well. Although it is Valentine's season and everyone will be celebrating that event, Neuwirth has never hosted a Sadie Hawkins and the time is now to mix in the two themes. 

You might be wondering what the dance will include: Think VALENTINES. The patio will be decorated with all you can think of when you think of Valentine's Day. You might be thinking it's gonna be an outside dance so it would be cold, but there will be heaters to make sure you are comfortable at the dance. Neuwirth will be providing a bunch of snacks and goodies to enjoy and students get to choose the music beforehand. Interested in recommending songs for the dance, submit a song request. 

Not everyone likes to dance and Neuwirth knows that. They are planning to host different Valentine’s activities for students to play while at the dance. Haven’t gotten your gift for a friend, significant other, or family for Valentine’s Day? There will also be a “Build your own mini bouquet”. We will provide you with a section of the dance filled with flowers for you to make your own bouquet. There will also be a chance to win some raffles, like  a lunch date paid for by the school, an order of starbucks to the school, and free dress day pass.
