Class of 2023:

A Semester Filled with Fun

By: Ariel Carmona

Wondering what Senior Events are happening for your Senior Year? Here’s where to look.

During the months of fall, Seniors had been completing their college applications. Meaning that seniors had been loaded with a full amount of work and stress but this process has now been wrapped up. It’s time to be proud of our hard work by celebrating with different events that are going to be happening just for you. Neuwirth is trying their best to bring a semester filled with smiles and laughter. Although it takes a while to coordinate events on and off campus, Neuwirth staff want seniors to have a blast these last few months before heading off to start a new chapter in life.

Spring semester will look a lot different from the fall semester for the class of 2023. After having an interview with the Senior President, Leonardo Munguia, he mentioned the events that ASB is close to finalizing, like prom. Prom will be happening on June 9 at the East Angel Event Venue. The theme is Under the Stars/ Tangled including lots of lights and lanterns all around the venue.

As for Grad Nite, this year Neuwirth will be going to Six Flags and will be taking place on June 2nd. Munguia mentioned that “We will announce prices and availability within a senior package so look forward to that.”

Neuwirth staff are making sure we end our senior year well to make the most of our last week. So that being said, Senior's last week of school will consist of different events each day. Monday will be a last recess which will include a water balloon fight and a senior picnic. Tuesday will be a graduation rehearsal and a lunch provided by Chick-Fil-A. On Wednesday June 14th will be graduation day where the school will provide seniors with a senior breakfast and a cap and gown pick up. however you are still required to come to school the next day. Although attendance is required on Thursday, it will be worth your while as we will be walking the stage that we've all been waiting for after 4 years. Thursday will be a trip to Dave and Busters in the afternoon but students will have to volunteer in the morning before going. Friday will be a senior movie night where students will go to the movies then return that will be boxer bash.

There are still a lot of details being finalized regarding the events that are listed above. More information will be provided within the following months so be on the lookout. These events require organization and money to happen. “In order for more events to happen earlier we do need to fundraise. We will need all of your support to come up with ideas," Munguia said in the interview. The school is looking to have more events like Senior Sunset/ Bonfire, Senior Movie Night, as well as a Field Day at a park. It’s important to know that Senior Year is all about making memories with your friends because you'll cherish these moments forever. These last few months may be the most challenging as you decide your next steps in life and what route you may want to take in the future, but they also should be the most rewarding and memorable months as well

If students have any ideas or questions for Senior Events, please make sure to contact Ms. Mumar, the school event planner or Leonardo Munguia, the Senior President.
